Buttons are a simple, but tedious set up. If you are going to have more than one (and usually you will), it is best to get all your settings the way you want them on one button before creating the rest.

1. Top Menu: Add Content > Button Bar.

2. Enter a label.

3. Select the destination for the button (a page within the site, an external URL or an email address).

4. Choose a style, a font, and font colors. If you can't find a style you like, choose "Basic Clear", it goes with pretty much everything.

5. If you're making a whole row of buttons, you can choose to have them oriented vertically or horizontally.

Don't forget to double check each button!

Special Notes:

• You will probably be disappointed with most of the pre-existing button styles. Fortunately, if you can use Flash, you can create your own custom buttons. Learn more in the Advanced section.

• Most of the time you can avoid using ugly buttons by using the "Basic Clear" style.

• Because of alignment and spacing issues it is sometimes best to create several indivdual buttons so that you can space and align them manually.

• "Page Menu" is essentially the same as Button Bar, with the only real differences being that it will only display buttons for the pages of your site, all changes (except position) are global, and editing the properities is done through via Top Menu: Page > Page Menu Properties.
